An Amazon package arrived while I was out the other day and DH opened it. He was utterly bemused at the excitement and joy of DS7 - in the package was his very own copy of the Magic Treehouse American Revolution Research Guide. "You would have thought it was Legos or something," DH said.

Fortunately, DH has no idea how often packages of books arrive! Thanks for mentioning that HH has a boxed set available.Lindersnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8719499255804821889.post-38348665092610403542010-05-23T09:59:38.919-05:002010-05-23T09:59:38.919-05:00This morning I was telling my daughter about the &...This morning I was telling my daughter about the "You Wouldn't Want to be Married to Henry VIII" book you listed. (Unfortunately, it isn't at our library and it is expensive on amazon!) So, we were googling and came across a YouTube video of Horrible Histories Henry VIII! It isn't for everyone, but we enjoyed watching quite a few of these clips this morning. Thought I'd pass it along in case you weren't aware of it!Dana Leedshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09387705697369311607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8719499255804821889.post-41583777224499397812010-05-22T00:53:09.279-05:002010-05-22T00:53:09.279-05:00http://www.stories.pk i have visited to this site ...http://www.stories.pk i have visited to this site and found to get the interested and entertaining site which is very impressive.Nadeem1414https://www.blogger.com/profile/01088697990015318634noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8719499255804821889.post-36424952917196307052010-05-21T23:04:39.614-05:002010-05-21T23:04:39.614-05:00Oh yes, the books for me are another animal all to...Oh yes, the books for me are another animal all together! My only frustration with the library is that rarely can I get just the book I need when I need it. Because HPCL is serving millions of people I have found there are too often holds on the books that are common in the homeschool world.

We all start about the same time and everyone who is using the same history hits the chapter on Columbus about the same time. Poof, the book is gone with a 6 - 8 week hold on it! Sigh, sigh and another sigh!!!

Looking forward to seeing you next week and I'll be sure to at least fill a lot of our science basket with HPCL books b/c those can come in any order at any time! :)

JenJenneferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13654642651122725268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8719499255804821889.post-38221022172693258822010-05-21T22:49:05.319-05:002010-05-21T22:49:05.319-05:00Can totally relate... In the last couple years I've been using the library a ridiculous amount just to keep the book budget down - I saw the Horrible Histories books in the HCPL system!Mandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09363246170415751767noreply@blogger.com
