And I do think it would still be much faster than starting with uncooked sausage whether you do it in the skillet or in the oven.

Carole,

Thanks for the pancake recipe. It's so healthy!!

Jennifer,

You are fortunate that your dh likes to cook, too! That sure would be a time saver. :) :)

The Mrs.,

Thanks for stopping by! They pretty much eat waffles or pancakes with bacon or sausage every morning, and I try and give them scrambled eggs when I can. I sausage and bacon I make in big batches and put in the fridge for the week. My hubby actually makes all of the pancakes and waffles from scratch on the weekends in gigantic batches (has to mix the batter in a pot because we don't have bowls that big) and we freeze them all. So my kids are eating frozen pancakes and waffles, but not the store bought kind ;-)

Love the egg puff idea! We will be trying that soon!Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01863281661609039153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8719499255804821889.post-14115692982814668202010-09-28T15:19:22.939-05:002010-09-28T15:19:22.939-05:00Thanks so much for sharing. We don't have a microwave, either, so that's the only downside to applying your quickie tips. I am not a morning person so I tend to skip the good protein when I really need it most - and all because I feel too 'tired' to cook something good. These ideas will hopefully get me going in the right direction.

As far as sharing ideas with you - I saw another creative pancake recipe just today over at www.neverhomemaker.com.carolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14460660865881905507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8719499255804821889.post-30148450779892098092010-09-28T07:31:42.334-05:002010-09-28T07:31:42.334-05:00Thanks for the ideas! Do you think that if I freeze sausage that I could reheat it quicker on the oven than just cooking it? I am also trying to think of ways to do the burritos in advance.Daltonganghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08979005545060210593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8719499255804821889.post-25776725956017976962010-09-27T23:21:06.076-05:002010-09-27T23:21:06.076-05:00Thank you! So I love all the make-ahead ideas... i was always afraid that I'd mess things up by doing it the night before or freezing.
