What We've Been Up To: Part One

I can't believe it's been a month since I've blogged. We've had so much going on that I wanted to share some of our joys before I got back to the homeschool stuff! In the past two months we've celebrated three birthdays (dh, Thatcher and Beckett), our 12 year wedding anniversary and our ten year anniversary serving at our amazing church. Thatcher lost his first and second teeth, we finished up a soccer and t-ball season, Thatcher was baptized and we went on a family trip to the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Whew! It's been busy around here for sure.

Here are pictures of Thatcher's first lost tooth:

And here are a few photos from Thatcher's 7th Tranformers birthday party:

(Tranformers Cake: The Autobot Mask)

More to come very soon!

Hi Jennefer,
Sound like the tooth fairy has been busy at your house! The cake is really cool! Did you make it? I'm looking forward to hearing about your plans for the next school year!

I did make the cake. I love to make cakes for my boys' birthdays although I generally have to stick with pretty simple designs since I've never taken any classes to learn all the tricks.

I will be posting soon about next year's plans. I am so excited about them! :)

Jennefer-

I love the cake! I have been a lurker here for a while and you are one of the moms who regularly encourages me with you creativity and dedication to your children.

I was wondering if you might be interested in participating in a contest that I am hosting. This spring the Lord put it on my heart to minister to new homeschoolers. I couldn’t figure out a good way to answer that call and then I was offered 5 free passes to the Heart of the Matter’s online homeschooling contest. It was as if it was all just handed to me and I just needed to put the pieces together. So this week, I am holding a contest as a ministry for new or struggling homeschoolers. To enter all people need to do is share a post that has words of wisdom or advice for a new homeschooler. The prize is the chance to enter a drawing for one of 5 free passes to the Heart of the Matter’s online homeschooling contest.

I will be stopping by a bunch of Christian homeschoolers blogs this week to see if they might like to participate or share the information about the contest and I thought you or your readers might be interested. If not, I won't be offended, I know how busy you are.

However, if you would like more information, you can stop by my homeschool blog at http://littleacornscds.blogspot.com/ .

Blessings-
Jenna

So, are we going to see photos from your great vacation? I'm curious to see what the Texas Hills country looks like...I don't know much about Texas...

Your boys are too cute! Your past couple of months sound like ours. Since March we had the birth of our baby boy, birthday parties for both girls (one in April the other in May) and two deaths in our family. I can relate to the busyness and summer's just started!!
