Celebrate!

I have officially posted 100 times on this blog! Yahoooo! You all know much about me but I am curious about you! Who are my readers and where are you from? Some of you regularly leave me comments and sometimes even email me. Many of you don't; you just stop by and check things out. I am so glad you do and keep stopping in! :) To help me celebrate my 100th post will you leave me a comment to say hi and tell as much or as little about yourself as you would like? I would love to say, "Hello!" to old friends and meet lots of new ones as well!

Hi Jennefer! Congratulations on your 100th post. I love your blog and happened upon it through Trivium Academy. You both are bookmarked as favorites and I visit often. Actually I think all your kindred spirits are my favorites. I'd ask to be the 6th, but I don't have a blog! :)

I have lived in the Samoa Islands for 2.5 years. My husband is a professor in a theological seminary and we live on campus. There's an elementary school, jr. high and high school on campus too so it's an interesting place to live! I have 3 children: DS13, DS10 and DD7. I've been homeschooling for 8 years.

Well, your blog is gorgeous and a big blessing to me. You have a beautiful family. Blessings to you! Renay

Congratulations!!! I commented once before and stole some tips!!!! I am a sahm of 4 and finally homeschooling all of them full time. I am a California girl who now lives in Texas--I still can't believe that! We have been in Texas for 2 years now and I reeeeaaaaalllly miss the beach! We love the Lord and we love people (or are at least attempting to love them the best that we can!!). I blog about my kids and what we do day to day so that our friends and family can see them as often as possible in pictures. I love organized people like you who freely share their ideas and tips and insight!!! Thank you! Denise

Hi. CONGRAT'S! I am Tiffany & I stalk your blog along with the other 4 ladies you are linked to. I'm an admitted "no-commenter". Ya'll are awesome - I am the queen of altering, so I get my inspiration & run with it. I have 5 children & have homeschooled for 3 years now.

Love your blog - congrats on 100 posts! I'm a homeschool mom of 3 from the midwest. My husband & I just celebrated 17 years of marriage. We have 2 teenagers (15 & 13) & a 9 yr old. I love hanging out with my kids during the day & learning right along with them. I'm a "chronic" organizer (lol) & love being the keeper of my home. Thanks for sharing your homeschool journey with us!

Yay on 100 post! I found you via google, a few months back when I was starting the C25K. :) I'm a homeschooling momma of four (3 boys, 1 girl). I enjoy your blog and hope you have many more entries. :)

Hi Jennefer - I don't remember how I found you, but I live in the Houston area and homeschool my four kids (10b, 8g, 7b, 5g). I like to check out how you are organizing your school and home. I do better at organizing myself if I start with a plan and revise it to fit our life. A blank page is always scary for me. :)

Thank you for sharing and being real (confessions).

Hello my dear. Congratulations on your 100th post! You already know me, I am Amy from Milk & Cookies. I am a devoted wife and homeschooling mommy to our 6 year old son and the co-founder of Heart of the Matter.

At this point I don't even remember how I found you, or you found me, I am just happy that we are blog buddies!! I am guessing it was through Darcy.

I love your blog, your style, your passion, and the way you educate and encourage others.

My name is Lesley and I live in very small town in nothern NH. I have been married to the love of my life for almost 20 years and we have 3 teens and 1 pre-teen. We are entering our 14th year of homeschooling, but now instead of adding students I'm subtracting. :0( Our son graduated in June and is headed off to college in Mo. This is a huge change for him and for us, any prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Well, that's it for now. I really enjoy your blog. :0)

Hi Jennefer! Congratulations!

I've been reading your blog from the very beginning and have been blessed as you share your struggles and successes. I admire your heart and your humbleness.

I am a mom to 4 beautiful children. I have one in college and am homeschooling the other three. I've been with my husband for about 20 years and am currently residing in sunny FL!

Hi Jennefer,
I'm in Augusta, GA and my friend found you when she was investigating a Classical Education (she's finally convinced!). I've enjoyed your reviews and have liked hearing how things have and have not helped you. We started (more informally than formally) this year and started with Language Lessons and Story of the World. I have 3 children, we have a birthday season coming up and they will be 6, 4, and 2.

I really love writing and helping other women in their walk with God...because that always sharpens me!!!

Thank you for sharing your life with so many, it really is so very helpful as many of us are starting in what feels like uncharted territory!

Congrats on 100 posts!
Blessings to you and your family!

Hi Jennefer!

I am Jennifer from So. Ca, Orange County to be more precise. My blog is "Home is where you start from". I am jealous of the spelling of your name...it's very cool. I started visiting you from the hive boards, I think. I am homeschooling my 4 kids plus a bonus student, we've always homeschooled. I am married to my highschool sweetheart and we just had our 15 year anniversary. I am on the south side of 30 now, I can't believe it...I started running 2 days ago, your post on running really inspired me- but I have to think on things awhile. I wanted to stop by and tell you I started running! I used to run in highschool, but it has been a long, long, time- funny, I don't remember things jiggling behind me then...

happy 100th post!!!

Can you believe you've posted 100 times already? Your posts are always so helpful and I hope that they will continue to inspire and encourage other hs moms as well as leave a legacy for your boys to read someday!

Again I must say that I love the whole new bloggy look - colors are great and the photos of the boys are excellent!

It's sooooo nice to have met you! I look forward to continuing this journey together!
Blessings,
Andrea

btw. Could I steal the Transformer cake idea? J is turning 7 in 3 weeks and he loved that cake!

Jennefer said...

Andrea,

Please steal away! I used a sheet cake pan and cut away the edges to make the Transformer mask. We were gfcf at the time so the cake was made with rice flour. No one even noticed! :)

Blessings to you,
Jennefer

Congrats on 100 posts! I've been reading your blog for a few months and have really enjoyed it. Your boys look so sweet!

This is my first year homeschooling so I have been encouraged by many of the things you have shared and I have read some great ideas! My kiddos are 8 (3rd grade), 5 (K), and 4 (preK). I have been married to my amazing husband for just over 11 years and we just relocated to West Texas from North Texas (and still adjusting)!

Keep up the great work!

Hey Jennefer,

I guess you are used to my comments by now. Steven and I live in GA. He finished seminary a few years ago at Southeastern Baptist Theological in NC. Things were hard with him full time school and full time work so I could have the babies and we got really burnt out and came home for a rest. Thats when he was diagnosed with the RA and we are still trying to get that under control. He still longs for the ministry and I know God will move us there when his time is right...I guess we just needed a lot more molding or something. lol...I homeschool Hope and Hugh (Hugh being the one with Haddon as his middle name). We have been trying to adopt a child from China for the last two years and are still waiting..God's timing being alot slower than what we planned but we are hanging in there. I am 32...a December baby, love the theatre, outdoors, Jane Austin, country music and really my favorite is just family time. I can't remember how I came across your blog..I think WTM boards. But as strange as it sounds being that I have never met you..I just liked you. What you stood for and how you stood for it. So I visit often and appreciate all your words. If ya'll ever find yourselves in GA for any reason drop me a line.

Hi Jennefer,

Hooray on 100 posts! I found your blog earlier this year when I was considering homeschooling, and now we are a few days away from beginning our first school year at home. Your post that day was "Confessions" - I was thrilled to have found your blog! : ) My daughter will be in first grade this year and I have settled on much of what you used last year. Thanks for all the time and thought you put towards this blog. It is very helpful and encouraging!

God Bless,

Congratulations on your 100th post Jennefer. I'd also like to add thank you because your blog got me started blogging, way back in September last year. I appreciate reading the blog of a pastor's wife because my husband is in his last year of Theological College preparing to become a minister. I cannot remember how I found your blog. It may have been through the WTM boards but that would have been very providential since I've only visited there about three times. I appreciate the fact that, although you don't post as often as I do, you post very informative, thoughtful and helpful stuff. You've given me a lot of ideas.

I live in Australia. Our family homeschools, but our eldest are as yet only in kindergarten, so we do Bible/Belief, literacy, literature, crafts, science/geography but no history yet. We have four children, aged 5, 4, 3 and almost 2; two boys and two girls.

I have been so blessed by your blog and even more blessed by being able to meet you and your sweet boys. Thanks for your honesty and for the great ideas. You are an inspiration to many!
As we bein our first year of homeschooling I know many of your ideas will be tried and tested! Thanks again.

How fun to read all these comments! You've inspired so many people, including me! You know me, at least in cyberspace. I like reading your blog because our oldest boys are about the same age and we're going through this homeschool adventure together. I also have 3 boys so I can relate to you. I also play the cello, enjoy genealogy, reading, travel, and blogging.
Congrats on 100 posts, and I'll look forward to reading 100 more!

I want to echo another commenter above - even though you sometimes post infrequently, your posts are so thoughtful that I can't wait for each little gem.

Hi Jennefer. I have been reading your blog for a while now. I found you through Trivium Academy. My boys are close in age with yours. My oldest is starting 2nd grade this year and my youngest son is starting K. I have a new baby girl also. I am starting my 3 year homeschooling and haven't looked back since. You helped me decide on a writing workbook for my oldest, via the WTM boards. I went with Classically Cursive. Thanks again. Keep on blogging!

Hi Jennefer!

I came here from a link your dh sent me on facebook. He and I graduated from the same high school... same year. When he found out I homeschool, he sent the link.

I can't remember if I've 'happened' upon your blog or not. But, I 'know' some of the ones you have on your blogroll and at least one who's left a comment on this post.

Hope to come back and read some more.

Blessings,
HSB Suzanne (aka Anita to your dh) -- it's a long story :)
